Use 'Station Percentiles' to view 95th & 98.5th percentiles for the currently selected years and stations.

Filters (Year, Season, Time of Day) from sidebar apply here.

Define growth thresholds based on hourly weather/fire indices. The app will evaluate every hour in the historical dataset. If ANY hour in a day meets the threshold conditions, it is counted as a Growth Day. If multiple scenarios are met, the highest spread distance is used. When calculating spread distance and direction only hours that meet thresholds are used.

Historical Averages (Based on Filtered Data)

Impact Zone Vectors (Directional Spread)

Analyzes the wind direction ONLY during the specific hours your spread scenarios were met, bins them into cardinals, and calculates the exact distance to pull your polygon.

Analog Years (Total Growth Spread)

Define growth thresholds to calculate Total Spread. The intent of this tool is to create the extreme potential bounds of an incident, so that we can analyze the amount of risk inside the impact zone and prioritize accordingly. Directional spread uses the FULL wind rose from the filtered dataset (not threshold-filtered) and applies a flat Minimum Safety Buffer to all sides to account for spotting, backing, and non-normative wind shifts.

Historical Averages

Impact Zone Vectors (Full Wind Rose + Safety Buffer)

Calculated using all wind data in the filtered range (not just threshold-met hours), with your selected safety buffer added to every vector.
